Login Issues

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click “Forgot password?”
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for a reset link
  5. Create a new password
Reset links expire after 1 hour.
  • Check your spam/junk folder
  • Make sure you’re using the email you signed up with
  • Wait a few minutes and try again
  • If still not working, contact support
You can add a password to your account:
  1. Log in with Google
  2. Go to Settings → Account
  3. Click “Change password”
  4. Follow the verification steps
  5. Set your new password
  • Double-check your email spelling
  • Make sure caps lock isn’t on
  • Try resetting your password
  • If you signed up with Google, use the Google sign-in button

Voice Input Issues

Check browser permissions:
  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → Microphone
  • Safari: Preferences → Websites → Microphone
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Permissions → Microphone
Make sure aligncore.ai is allowed.
Tips for better accuracy:
  • Speak clearly at a normal pace
  • Reduce background noise
  • Use a headset or external microphone
  • Move closer to your microphone
You can always edit the transcription after speaking.
  • Check your internet connection
  • Make sure no other apps are using the microphone
  • Try stopping and restarting the recording
  • Refresh the page and try again
Voice transcription has a 60-minute daily limit. This resets at midnight UTC. If you need more time, try journaling with text instead.

Saving Issues

Drafts save automatically every few seconds. If your draft didn’t save:
  • Check your internet connection
  • Look for the “Draft saved” indicator in the editor
  • Try refreshing the page (your draft should reload)
If you close your browser before the draft saves, you may lose recent changes.
  • Make sure you’ve written something in the editor
  • Check your internet connection
  • Try refreshing the page
  • If the problem persists, copy your text, refresh, paste it back, and try again
  • Go to Journal History in the sidebar
  • Entries are sorted by most recent first
  • If you still can’t find it, contact support with the approximate time you submitted

Display Issues

  1. Clear your browser cache
  2. Try a different browser
  3. Disable browser extensions temporarily
  4. Check if JavaScript is enabled
  5. Try incognito/private mode
  • Go to Settings → Appearance
  • Select your preferred theme directly
  • If using “Auto,” check your device’s system settings
Use your browser’s zoom function:
  • Zoom in: Ctrl/Cmd + Plus (+)
  • Zoom out: Ctrl/Cmd + Minus (-)
  • Reset: Ctrl/Cmd + 0

Account Issues

Email changes aren’t currently available through the interface. Please contact support to request an email change.
Don’t worry! You have 30 days to cancel:
  1. Log in to your account
  2. You’ll see a banner about pending deletion
  3. Click “Cancel deletion”
  4. Your account is restored immediately
  • Download links expire after 7 days
  • Try requesting a new export
  • Check that your browser isn’t blocking downloads
  • Try a different browser
